Whenever I've opted for a gradient manicure, I tend to choose colour combinations that compliment each other well such as blues, yellows, pinks, etc. I realised that I usually go for a 'pretty' transition where I've either used bright sunset colours or soft pastel shades. Therefore this time I thought let's go vamp!

I saw a nude to black dyed dress in last months Bazaar magazine (completely forgot to take a picture and now I can't seem to find it) and I thought these shades might actually make a great pair.
